I just noticed in the last couple of days that my turbo doesn't sound the same. Once I get over about 14 or 15 lbs of boost, it makes a completely different high pitched scream. It almost sounds like it's sucking air through a hole in the intake. I have a real Tymar and checked it for holes, but nothing obvious. The filter only has about 5k on it. It still seems to make power like normal, but just sounds funny. You guys hear of anything like this?

Sounds like one of the clamps has come loose on one of your intake boots, or one of them has a small tear in it. I would double check all. Mine did that one time and it turned out to be one of the clamps on the orange boots between the Y and the intake manifold itself.

Thanks Kwik, I'll double check it. I'm thinkin another filter too. maybe this one has a defect or something. It doesn't look real dirty. Just kinda grey like they normally get. Anyway thanks again.
