Power Steering Lockup
I recently bought an 85 F150 4X4 with power steering, a 351W, and an automatic. When fourwheeling recently for the first time with it, I came out of a puddle and the front end landed pretty hard, and the power steering locked up. It stayed that way for a minute or so, and the steering wheel would not budge at all. Is this normal, or something I should have checked? If it's relevant, I just had a 3" body lift installed and 33" tires put on. Thanks.

When it locked where the wheels turned all the way? If so, it is possible that with the lift, one of the front tires may have over extended. If the tires were not turned all the way, you may have damaged the gear box. This would be very serious. You need to check it, asap, as if the gear box was damaged, it may lock later going down the road.
