won't start

I have an 89 F-150 and for some reason last night it decided not to start. I have noticed that it was turning over kind of slow lately, and twice last week when it did start my radio stations were reset like the power was dissconnected. then last night when I went to the grocery store it wouldn't start, and sounded like my starter wasn't engaging so I tapped it, than I lost all power next time I tried to start it. It just clicked than all lights went out and didn't come on for a minute. now it keeps doing the same thing any ideas

Sounds as simple as a dead battery, either battery went bad or alternator went bad and hasn't been chargeing battery.

I just replaced the battery today with no help, and I tested the starter relay and there is 12.5 volts coming out.

Sounds like bad connection possibly at starter but could be anywhere.Check ALL connections and check all ground wires for internal corrosion.Don't overlook fusible links at starter relay.

Dont forget to check battery connectors, as corrosion builds up inside the lead connectors and will not let voltage through the cables. To fix ,just cut off the
old connectors and add replacement ones. It will only cost a couple of bucks and
only takes a few minutes.
