I had posted a while back trying to figure out were the clunk sound was coming from when I would change directions say from moving forward to backwards.
Well it turns out my rear brakes were shot. The pads would not float at all and were worn done to nothing. I found this out because my front rotors warped and I didn't have 7K miles on them. They had a two year warrinty so I got new front rotors and did the rear brakes as well. We now have a clunk free and a very nice braking Ex. The wife is very please.
The brake pedal was hard to push as well and now the effort is far less than before.
I suspect the fronts were doing all of the braking and that's why they warped.
The Ex was driving me mad. I hated the brakes on this thing and I never thought to check the back brakes. So in the end I only have myself to blame for being cheap and lazy. I'm sure happy now.
