A week ago I put a 3 inch body lift and changed the oil and filter in the tranny on my truck. Since then, I have had problems with what seems to be the tranny. When I first accelerate, or left off of the gas it seems to vibrate, almost grind, as soon as the RPM's are up it is fine. Also, in 4 High the sound is worse and I have to let off the gas for it to shift and then the shift is quite violent.
I can't figure it out, the body lift did not affect any of the drive lines, I extended the linkage and adjusted it several times.
Might just take a quick peek under/around the trans to see if any vacuum lines got pinched/pulled off or stretched, the same with any electrical connections-when the body went up, most of these things went with it, up into the engine compartment, however the trans/driveline did not. Chuck P.
doubble check the linkage, if it is off at the trans at all you may have problems, the main thing is to make sure the lever position sensor on the trans is adjusted right becuse it signals gear position to the computer, also check wiring, this is a completely eletronic controlled, there are no vac hoses to this trans. i also have an e4od in a 90 f150, it slipps on the 1-2 shift and i'm in need of help with that problem.
