It occurred to me the other day that I don't know how to approach fellow ford truckers without being a complete goober. It's quite suprising to me how many people are die hard ford'ers, that don't know about this website. Each time that I've said something like, "Are you a member of FTE", they look at me like I'm crazy. Don't get me wrong, I'm proud, but sometimes I feel like an idiot. This is a question for all you FTE veterans. What's the "cool" way of asking someone if they know of FTE?
I just come right out and ask if they've heard of it, and if not suggest that they visit FTE. I also take time to explain the benefits, knowledge base of our members, etc. BTW, don't ever feel like an idiot for asking something; the only dumb question is the one that didn't get asked.
I do that idiot thing sooo well. I've been pushing FTE over on the Ford side whenever I deliver one- it a great resource, especially for a new member of "the family."
You could just go up to them and tell them that "if they want their truck to be all it can be" then join FTE.Give them the site address and say I'll talk to later.Good Luck!
