coolant level?

On my 05, I have bean blowing "some" coolant. Truck has about 8000 miles on it and I was running the preditor in 100HP mode. Recently changed to the 65HP tune. I noticed when the truck is cool, the level is now around the minimum mark or a little above. When the engine is hot and running the level is at or just below max still. What is the correct level and is it possible Ford is putting too much coolant in these trucks? I have not added a drop and the level is still above the minimum mark when cool.

Thanks in advance!

Cylinder pressures. Ford knows it's an issue as most of us do. You have to realize though that Ford/International didn't design these engines to accept another 100hp from an aftermarket product. If you go to www.ford-trucks.com there is quite a lot of information on there from some very qualified engineers that you may be interested in. Basically your head gasket is failing and your getting gas bubbles into your coolant which in time causes it to puke. When you start tweeking these 6.0's the cylinder pressures start to stretch the head bolts. The head doesn't necessarily lift but it's enough stretch for the gasket to become an issue. Check the website out for lot's more info and fixes.
