300-6 oiling problems

Currently working on an '84 F-150, trying to clean out the oil ports to get oil to the top end--we cleaned each rod individually, rockers etc. After reassembly still not getting oil in the #1 and 2 rods. In addition to the rod-work we overhauled the oil pump and cleaned the screen real good--packed the pump with prelube and all that good #####. Changed the pressure sending unit--getting good pressure, (lifters not collapsed)getting real good oil delivery in the middle and tapers off toward the ends.........any ideas anyone?

Micah, have you checked to make sure that the plug is in the oil gallery? otherwise, the oil will not completely make it thru the top end

This may sound stupid, but what "plug" are you talking about?

Micah, If I remeber correctly, there is one right near the timing cover in front, and there is two of them in the back of the motor just above the bell-housing
