shifting, posted a while back

a while back I posted a question about my tranny. Its an automatic OD 3 speed I believe. Could be a 4 speed. It came stock on the 89 4x4 f150. The problem I posted about was when I would drive down the road and slow down, not to a complete stop, then speed back up the truck sound like a manual tranny that was in high gear trying to take off from a stop. It was like a bogging down sound. Someone suggested that I play with the tv cable and that did help a little but it didn't solve the problem. Could my tranny be bad or could it be the rearend? I changed the fluid and filter and when I took the pan off there was no chuncks of metal in the pan. I don't know what else it could be but I dont' know much about trucks either. Please don't tell me to take it to a mechanic because I am trying to save money right now, farming and school is expensive. Thanks.

If you have a TV cable it's an AOD, not an E4OD.

The TV cable is the thing that needs adjusting. It needs to be done the right way or you'll be buying a new transmission. I don't have the procedure to do it right, you need to find it!
