Custom Dash and Grille for 1979 F100

Can anyone recommend where I can find custom grille for 1979 Ford F100? Something that looks different than stock.

Also, how do I put a CD player where the current stock cassette player is? Is there something available to replace the whole thing, where the cassette player and the the AC control hooks in?

Lightbulb CD Player

For the cd player... no kits or anything... you'll have to do it yourself. For mine, I removed the dash bezel (remember the headlight switch and wiper ****) and examined the bracket for the heater controls and stock stereo. I then removed the stereo, which was easy. then I removed the heater controls from the bracket (i didn't have to disconnect anything, i just unscrewed it from the bracket and pulled the bracket out of the truck.) the bracket is held in by 4 screws... and so is the heater controls. then i just cut the bracket off flush where the stereo was (See picture) with a hacksaw and re-installed it with the heater controls. it only needs two screws to hold it in my opinion, so no further bracing was needed. i then CAREFULLY expanded the dash bezel by using a hacksaw blade. be careful doing this, because these bezels can crack easily. also don't cut too much, or your stereo can fall out. you'll need to get a trim ring like this one to prevent the stereo from sliding out. then i installed the DIN sleeve that came with my radio. then i re-installed the dash bezel and drilled two holes through the dash bezel and the metal beneath it (see my gallery) and screwed it in with black face screws. you can probably figure out better ways to hold the dash secure, but the screws don't look that bad. i connected the wiring harness and slid the cd player in. then i bolted the stock rear support to the new cd player and there you go -- Cd in a cassette slot. best of all, since the dash is screwed tight, and the stock rear support was used i have never once heard it skip!
