Hi! This is my first post so I thought I would Say Hello.
I am doing a back yard restoration on a 65 F250 Super heavy duty long wheelbase. Have had it for 26 years and worked it hard. Mech perfect. My Question. Does anyone know where I can find a copy of the paints used in this year. I am not going with the orig color. I am going to 2-tone it red and white.
Not sure how accurate this web site is:www.autocolorlibrary.com. Reconditioned my 65 f100, included couple of upgrades. Truck was a fleet purchase by a utility company so there is no color reference on the VIN tag. Used a color close to original but more to my liking. Have not compare the list of available colors for that particular year in the 'ford parts master catalog', if you need specific color reference numbers i probably can get them. LIkely other members will be providing additional info.

Also, stop by your local auto paint supply house and ask if they have a color book handy from 65 Ford trucks you can glance at. I would say there were probably about 20 colors available for 65.
I used the autocolor library sheets. They will give you PPG paint codes, any paint shop could match them to their brand. BTW Red paint code is J (Rangoon Red) for a 1963
