I did a tuneup on 1988 F150. after changing the wires, plugs, distributor & rotor; it started to vibrate upon accellation. What could I have done wrong...? PLS Help!!!

Distributor was probably installed wrong. Now, if you mean distributor cap, that is another story. If you replaced the entire distributor, that would require you to set the ignition timing.
The most common mistake is removing the wires and putting them back on incorrectly, make sure each wire is pushed on to each terminal.
The second most common problem, unknowingly breaking/disconnecting a vacuum line.
I don't recall if EFI came into play on the 88, or the 89.
If the vehicle has a TFI module, make sure when you set the base timing (by rotating the distributor), you remove the SPOUT connector, to guarrentee the computer can no longer adjust timing "on the fly" while you're adjusting the timing.
Also don't forget to put the Spout jumper back in.
