1990 F 350 7.3 auto 4x4 with ac.Any tips on doing a head gasket??What all should I replace when doing this .I must get this truck running soon and must do the job myself do to money. Thanks to you all
Look at the old head gasket carefully and be certain you find a bad spot. Cavation will not be fixed with a head gasket, and if the engine was ever severely overheated the heads could also have cracks. Take your time look at everything closely, most mechanics will look at your parts for free and give you some advice on what you have, good luck!
I would check over all the lifters, push rods, rockers, valves, seals, and any thing elese thats pulled off, that can go bad. if you have many miles, i would rebuild the top end pulling the heads and your alredy half done
