I finally went and got one, an F-350 CC Lariat SB. Now I know why all you guys love this truck. It sure is a long ways from my '77. I saw some sale ads this weekend, and went to take a look. 2 days later and I am driving this new truck home. Can't wait 'til I get it broke in.
As far as cloud nine goes, well, it's pretty neat to be able to own both of these rigs. They are both awsome in their own ways. Unfortunately, I may have to unload the '77 to help pay for the new truck. For some reason, my better half doesn't see a need for both trucks.
I really wanted to fix up that '77, but it seems that I have less and less time these days for projects. Need one truck to use as a truck, so i can tear the other one apart and work on it as I can. Takes to much time to tear it apart a little, put it back together for use, tear it apart, put it back together...
why not just use that 05 for evry day use and work and in the mean time work on the 77 when you can. And do like i do and tell the wife to mind her own busisness
Funny how the "foreman" never sees the "need" like we do. I try to tell my wife why I need most of everything I own. It has just come down to it makes me happy if it makes you happy. LOL. Where in Idaho you from. My home town is way up north in Coeur D' Alene. I love it up there and go home every elk season.
I truly hope you can find a way to keep both. However, sometimes you have to listen to the better half, or as I like to call her, the voice of reason. I suspect that the new '05 with the Lariat trim will at least give you a comfy and stylish place to mourn the loss of the Highboy if it comes to that. Enjoy the new truck, and I know it may be difficult, but at least try not to gloat.
