Fuel Pump.......

i have an 87 f-150. the high powered fuel pump went bad and we replaced it(and the filter), but for some reason it still whines very bad and idles funny, we also tried replacing the relays and the fuel pump in the tank and nothing seems to make it better, i heard somewhere that it takes a while for the everything to get back into sink, has anyone else heard this, or can anyone help me?

Fuel Pump.......

Even though you are getting voltage to the pump, the current may not be up to spec because of dirty connections or weak insulation on the wires that belong to the fuel pump scematic. Lowvoltage/current will make any DC motor sound different!
