Hi I am another new person to this Great Forum. I recently purchased a unrestored 1936 1/2 ton. I need information on where to get a fuel tank sending unit. Thanks
Welcome to FTE! Lots of good guys/gals and info here. When you get a chance post some pictures of your truck - I think the 36's are sweet little rigs.
You'll want to replace your entire fuel line between tank and pump if it's been sitting any amount of time. You won't believe all the crud that builds up in the lines. Use an inline filter before the pump too. I've run a 48 half ton as a daily driver for the past 4 years and consistent fuel delivery due to dirt in the system was my biggest headache when I put the truck on the road.
For a sending unit I'd say Mac's would be a good place to start.
