Which DPFE sensor???

5.4 L / 4x4 the parts department states ( via VIN crossreference ) that i need the AA DPFE sensor @ $89.... a friend ( ford mechanic ) told me ford fixed?/ released a newer DPFE sensor... and that is the one i should get... unfortunately my mate is out of town for the week and next week i'll be out of town... i'd kinda like to get rid of this engine light...

Any opinions? get the VIN matched part @ $87 or friend recommended part @ $29??

It is hard to say, research it out the best you can as to get the approprate part. I know all about the confusion there can be with parts supplyers giving conflicting information as to what parts goes into the truck. Sorry I can't be more help.

I have a high speed scanner flashing 401 ( low exhaust flow detected )... this is my wife's vehicle and she will be alone for the week... so clearing the code doesn't really make me feel safe about a trip my wife would like to take to see her mom... i replaced the sensor with the exact part # through a retail store for around $45 and 10 minutes worth of work... cleared the code and has been good for 2 days... ~5 drive cycles... hopefully that'll keep
