Hydraulic floor jack recommendations?
Any recommended brands of 2.5-3 ton hydraulic floor jacks, for personal use(and not professional)? Most I've seen are made in China, and for some reason I do not care for the quality of anything made in China.

Be prepared to spend some money for a good jack. I paid over 100 dollars for one at a NAPA store about 6 years ago and it's a tough, heavy, well-made jack. I say buy one from a reputable parts house, but don't buy the cheap ones.

A good usa made one is almost impossoble to find the chinese ones are junk the place that makes napa jacks also supplies harbor freight so there is no quality there a good usa made one will set you back 350.00

OTC (excellent quality, pro grade) has an offshore-made line called Stinger. Mine is excellent, and came with a pair of stands for under $150. I think it was # 1513, but I don't remember for sure. Very good quality, even though its off shore.

I have three Hein Werner WS 1 1/2 ton floor jacks, they are comerical grade, can lift a F-250 front without a problem. Used around $175 and you can get parts for them without going to China.
