I have a 2000 Excursion Limited and both my front buckets lean to the right (passenger side). The driver seat seems to lean much more than the passenger seat, so much that it interferes with the center console. The seats have full range of motion without any binding, so I know the tracks are ok. Both bench seats in the back sit level & square so I know the floorpan is ok.
I'm thinking I can just shim the seats, but I'm wondering is this is a common issue or just my vehicled.

My Drivers seat leans the other direction to the left! I think because the previous owner was short and slid out in such a way to wear the padding out on the left hand side.
Had a van with the captains chairs do the same thing. My large backside sliding off them caused the foam to shred. Was able to order just the foam for the bottoms. Removed all the hog rings & put it into place. Might be able to do the same with your EX or take them to an upolst. shop to see if they can replace the smooshed ( note technical term ) stuff. DON"T shim them! You will put the whole seat into a weird twist & most likely break them at one of the joints. And yes, I broke seats in my EB f150 too! Good luck & let us know what you end up doing.
Well, stripped both seats down to the frame and there is nothing structurally wrong (even had uphostery shop confirm for me).
Stripped back the carpeting and cannot find anywhere where the floor appears buckled or weak so I'm not sure it's the floor either.
Which now leaves me completely baffled.
I did use some shims just to see what would happen and I can get the seat pretty close to where I think it should be, but that still doesn't fix whatever the root cause is.
