and you have to install the headers after the engine is in from under the truck go to www.summitracing.com i bought dynomax headers for 120.00 with shipping and come with all bolts and gaskets
Long tubes will be a bigger improvement, especially with ported heads. I ran into one header(Dynomax coated) issue with my '66 with MT. The clutch release fork hit the collector, I had to modify the fork(picture in gallery) to clear. You might not have that problem in your '69.

My 73' F250 w/390 the headman headers went in bolted up to the engine. It was tight and would have been easier with help, but I got them in by myself with out to much hassle. I also had the bellhousing and starter mounted up.

Yep Nice Truck there Jordan....Nice looking Build going in it..I like the Coronet sitting in there too.. I have just the 440 in my old Motorhome to go in that!!
The coated headers retain heat in the pipes which helps improve exhaust flow, it keeps the engine bay a little cooler and the pipes do not rust out.
3 reasons for coated headers!!
