Talking Well Pleased!

Thought I would share this with all of you. Wife and I took the stock 03 to the Lake of the Ozarks this weekend, a 330 mile trip one way. Set the cruise at 2,000 RPM's which equaled 71 MPH. Mostly all 4 lane with heavy traffic in KC and Sedalia and about 50 miles of 2 lane. Filled up at our destination and took time to put in all that it would hold. Took 19.5 gallons for a milage of 17.4....the VERY best I have ever gotten. Wished I had brought along my programmer as I would have liked to have put it in on the return trip just to see if it would have made a difference. The only physical difference would be the up hill climb in elevation ( I'm going to guess that its 500ft at the lake to about 1,200ft here in central Kansas). Will fill up the tank tomorrow but just looking at the gauge, it's going to run the same MPG's on the return trip. Sure enjoyed making the trip in the SD and was real pleased with how it performed!

That's the same economy I got on my stock '03 before I put on the "Kwik" filter. Now I'm up to 18.4 mpg. Bet'cha you don't have one on, eh?
