Agree with FordGuy21, I don't like putting stickers on chrome or paint. Would consider the rear window, but I an not sure it will pass VA inspection with a larger sticker in the rear window (I had to remove several college names and other small stickers from a van we purchased 6-8 years ago when I went for the initial inspection). Maybe some type of removable sticker holder. Either way, at a minimum, they will look fine on a tool box or other equipment in the shop.

Just curious, is the design set or are there options?

Did some checking. According to the VA inspection code if you have 2 side view mirrors, you can put a sticker of any size on the rear glass. Here is the passage
EXCEPTIONS: The following are permissible if the vehicle is equipped with a mirror on each side:

a. There is attached to one rear window of such motor vehicle one optically grooved clear plastic right angle rear view lens, not exceeding 18 inches in diameter in the case of a circular lens or not exceeding 11 inches by 14 inches in the case of a rectangular lens, which enables the operator of the motor vehicle to view below the line of sight as viewed through the rear window.

b. There is affixed to the rear side windows, rear window or windows of such motor vehicle any sticker or stickers, regardless of size.

c. There is affixed to the rear side windows, rear window or windows of such motor vehicle a single layer of sunshading material.

d. Rear side windows, rear window or windows is clouded or distorted

Don't let an ignorant inspector off the hook...

OK. . . I think I'm going to take a leap and order 100 stickers for $89.95 that way there will be extras for future members and replacements for current members. Before I commit to a rather large purchase, I desided to make a single "preview" purchase first. It should be here in a few days

Price break down will be like this:

Single sticker-$0.90
PayPal-2.9%+$0.30 per transaction
Shipping-$0.45

Yeah, I'm cheap

So if you figure on a straight $2.00 each inc. shipping everything should be covered. You don't want to cut yourself short. Keep up the good work, you know, the current Governor's term is expiring maybe........ George

Thanks GLR, I do try my best (though try as I might, its still not THE best)

PayPal is per transaction, so If you order $5.00 of stickers, its only going to be an extra 2.9%+30cents for that order, not per sticker (unless you really want too ). Shipping is per order too.

Well, I got a reply last night to the file I sent them.

"Steven:
The file that you uploaded was not the best quality. While the image might look fine from a distance, when you look at it closely, you'll be able to see jagged edges. To see what we mean, zoom in on the graphic until it fills your screen."

I can have go ahead with it anyways, and just live with it, or maybe someone here who is experienced with Photoshop or similar can sharpen up the picture without inflating the file size?

Man, it's ALWAYS something

Steve,

I have Photoshop CS and I will be glad to take a look at it and see what I can do, but normally the resolution the file is originally saved in will be the best you can get. Send me a PM with the file and I will see what I can come up with. Is there a size limit?

Franken-Truck,

I would suggest that you don't get too caught up in the price of the stickers. We aren't talking about a lot of money here.

To make things simple, just provide me with an address and I'll send you six bucks cash for my two ($3.00 ea.). Do as you please with the balance. If you want to open a chapter account, that's fine. If you want to pocket the difference, that's cool, too. You are the one doing the work here and you are the one fronting the money to have them made. We all appreciate the effort you are putting into this and we will all benefit from your efforts. I and I'm certain that others realize that while this is a volunteer position, your time is worth something. I hope that others will treat the purchase the same way.

As soon as I have an address, the cash will be on the way.

Thanks,

Carl G. - Pearland, TX

Just a quick update, I thank everyone for there patience The original chapter logo is unusable. David has been a tremendous help in getting a usable and final logo to print. It had to be remade completely, and will be of a slightly different proportion than the original. Think of it as a bumper sticker rendition of the current logo It should be done here in the next few days, and then we can worry about ordering

PM sent Yomow. Wish I could help you with the charter fishing The sticker is done! And I think Dave did an excellent job!

Who ever is ready to order, can Pm me or post here and ask for email/mailing directions. Any "locals" who would like to meet up when the stickers come in to purchase at the breakfast house or where ever we meet, just try an confirm how many you want, or I will just go by previous posts. This is just in the extremely off chance I run out Also, this will probably be the only time you can get these on the cheap, once I'm out, I'm out. I'm going to be setting up a store so anyone can casually buy a sticker whenever they want, maybe choose a different design, though there will be a dozen plus other niffty things to buy if you feel so inclined

I've got a paycheck coming Friday, so I will front the money and order this weekend

I think I posted a price break down earlier in the thread Price per sticker is $0.90. If you want it mailed to you, an extra $0.45 will cover stamp(s) and an envelope for just about any amount people seemed intersted in buying. PayPal fee's are 2.9% of the price + $0.30. I personally think PP's fee's are rediculuos for the low prices were talking. The extra fee's for 2 stickers is the cost of a stamp, and if you order more its cheaper to mail it. Anyways. . .

I dunno Monster. . .I'll have to talk to some of the "higher ups" and see what they think, and may have to pull some strings. . .but I'll see what I can do

Rory, I have always wanted to go into business, selling truck parts or such Kinda hard to part with that initial exspense. . . But the store is non-profit, chapter related stuff only. Heres a good example, this is the High Plains Chapter store. A little more exspensive then what were doing here, but still cheaper than most one off places would charge. BUT, custom orders would be possible
