Voltage Questions.

Hey guys. I have a question, I was considering buying a set of pulley's for my 94 f150 5.0. I hear that with the pulleys, losing voltage is certain. I'm also planning on buying the Flexalite electric fans as well as a new stereo system ( just 4 speakers and cdplayer, no subs ). I know this will demand more voltage and I am wondering if I should just forget about the pulleys. Any way around this? Thanks.

The problem will come during hot weather idling. The fans will come on, and the alternator will be turning very slow. You run the risk of the battery going dead in this situation, especially if you make a lot of short hops around town during a warm day.

But, if most of your driving is on the highway, the fans will not be needed, and the rpms of the engine will be enough where the alternator can charge the battery.

So depending on your style of driving, there is a chance you could get by with everything installed.
