Weekend Racing Events

I am amazed not seeing any comments on this weekends races! Indy had to be one of the best races I have watched there in a long time, and the Coca Cola 600 Demolition Derby..........again, one of the better NASCAR races with all the crunching.........

don't care for indy car racing, and was at my own local track watching the dirt bombers, modifieds and late models last night,so I missed 90% of the NASCAR race, but the local dirt track is more fun than watching NASCAR on tv anyhow!! going to the local track again in a few minutes for the annual "night of destruction". figure eight bus races, free style motor cross, 2 man cruiser car races,4 cylinder "wild things",the great american trailer race and to top the night off,a demo derby

What made the Indy 500 special was a little 25 year old, 105 lb. dynamo named Danica, who could out drive any of us on her worst day. Anyone here drive 227 MPH? This speed (although quite a bit slower than the current Indy car speed) scared the cra* out of Willie T. Ribbs some time ago, enough for him to temporary walk away.

The NASCAR race that followed was also fun to watch, and what a finish.

No, it wasn't a bad weekend at all for watching racing on the boob tube

Yeah, excellent day Woke up to Formula 1, enjoyed the Danica 500, and the Coke 600 was a classic (even though I'm still quite bitter about that Dale Jr ahole causing Kenseth misfortune and that reject Vickers causing the wreck that took Mark Martin out of contention).

Doesn't surprise me that her demeanor is somewhat conceded. Now that I reflect on her post race interview, yep, a little arrogant. But then again I think a lot of the IRL/PPG race car drivers fit that category.

That's where I think the good ole boys of NASCAR are probably more down to earth. IMHO.

I can't wait to see what happens if she does race in an IROC race with the other race car drivers from other racing categories, such as NASCAR, etc.
Would be interesting. Probably would need a booster seat.
