Just and FYI, the chrome covers will raise yout diff fluid temps and average of 20-30 degrees, chrome is a real good insulator. I know you mentioned you didn't want a cast aluminum cover because of price, believe me I agree with you. Check out the link below on the PML covers, they are "AS" cast with no powder coating (also a very goooooog insulator) and are very reasonable. Not as low priced as chrome but for a quality aluminum a very good value and they get you the same degree of fluid temp drop too!

I was about to say, they didn't look the same, but I have a ton of old 60 covers laying around, a few new ones even. As far as the chrome retaining heat more, thanks for the concern, but the pickup doesn't tow much, and just needs to look pretty until I can find a used aluminum cover, just don't feel the need to drop that kind of cash(even though resonable) on one right at this point. Got me a chrome one, thanks guys.
