Have you done the KWIK 6637 mod?

Just would like to find out how many people have done the 6637 filter mod.

Ford has different air filter and filter housing for the 99 to 02 7.3l It uses a donaldson air filter best filter you can use.

Yes i done the kwik 6637 filter change last week... Followed the instruction given on this site no issues... Made about 180 mile trip last night in a "down pour" filter dry as a cracker... Total cost $40.00 & 10 Mins.. Love the sound of the turbo..Thanks Kwik...

I have the 6637 on both of my trucks, it is a donaldson filter. and it works great in the mud. has some dirt globs on it but I never noticed any signs of water ingestion, and the piping all stayed together too.

AIS.. that's what i figured... nice setup... but i think i'm gonna try the qwik filter... a lot less $$$ and you're getting a lot of surface area to keep your intake resistance down...!

The AIS is the Donaldson powercore filter, not pleated paper. Totally different filter media, Donaldson is certainly proud of it, whether or not it is the best you can use??????

Does anybody know if Ford is voiding warranties with this mod? i wanna do it but I have 50K to go on warranty on my 2002 and I have to change out the battery tray.

You dont have to take out the battery tray. Check out my site for pictures, I still have the stock tray in. Just hang on to the lid and put it back on before you to to the dealer if your worried.
