Air pumps?
You guys are just gonna have to pardon my ignorance, but ...
I've been hunting heads for building a motor and keep seeing people describe heads as having been drilled for air pumps. What the heck are they talking about?
I eagerly await the wisdom of my esteemed colleagues (and you guys, too ...)

well on the later smog motors they used a air pump to put air in the exhaust to help burn some left over fuel the holes are drilled in the heads on the exhaust passages if you end up using these heads just put plugs in them but a set of c8ae-h heads would offer more power and torque.
