2000 Expy Cruise Control
Just bought 00 Expy Eddy Bauer and all is well except cruise control. I am unable to activate cruise. Yes, I am trying at speed greater than 48 mph. Any help or insight would be appreciated. Also, can I scan the threads for expy cruise control without looking at 350 pages of threads?? Retired old fogey looking for a little help, thanks.

i would bet that it was part of the recall where the cruise control was causing vehicles to catch fire when parked. i would locate a ford dealer and ask if you vehicle is affected. i have a 00 expy myself and i just got the cc fixed after not having it for 3 months

All 00 Expeditions are affected by the CC recall. I would check the plug located by your brake fluid resevoir and see if the cruise has been unplugged. If so then I would go to your Ford dealership and see if you can get the new plug installed.
