AOD installation...

I've got what I think is most of the stuff I need to put an AOD and a 351C together and then into my '56 F100. To make sure though, does anyone have a good expanded picture of the end of an engine, flexplate, torque converter and any spacers that are required? I have the engine, AOD, block plate, T/C cover and all the bolts (new!). Is there supposed to be a spacer between the crankshaft and the flexplate? I also have gotten a ton of Lokar stuff to hook up the rest of the system too.

Thanks for looking and any info you might have.

I have a 351C and AOD in my 79 f-150.I used a flywheel from a FMX and bolted it right up.I made my own TV linkage and it has worked great for 3 years now.

Excellent! I have an FMX in the truck now! If it's in good shape, I'll just use it. Thanks!

fwiw, i am swapping a c6 in a van to an aod. comparing the flexplates, all dimensions are the same except the c6 flexplate will push the torque converter back about 10mm. if you don't get front pump damage from that, its just luck.
