I know the C6 tranny has an adjustable Vaccum modulator on it. Which way does what. Or what other than adding a shift kick can I do to make
it shift just a little more positive.
I just replaced my modulator about a year ago, and it certainly was not adjustable. But anyway, the B&M shift kits work great. http://www.bmracing.com
There is a screw in the center of the modulator, you need to pull off the vacuum hose to get to it. I'm not sure, but I believe if you back the screw out, it will give you a smoother shift, while in gives a harder more positive shift.
Katt,
Thanks for the info although I'm not quite sure
which kit I would want.I sometimes tow but not
as much as I use to. While the engine is a 60 over 351W I'm not sure of the cam. I would like it to snap into 2nd and 3rd, recently I had a disc fusion to my neck at C5-C6 I don't want whip lash either
And yes I am sure about the adjustable modulator. If you take off the vaccum hose there is a very little set screw inside.

Before you start playing let me tell you this, in is harder out is softer. That almost sounds a little kinky but anyway. I asked our so called shop foreman who supposedly did transmission work and he told me the screw is suppose to be an 1/8 of an inch from the openning. My confidence in this info is not real high. If you adjust just do it a little at a time. I don't know how much this thing adjusts. My advise is this, count how many times and how much you screw it in so if youy can't get it right you can at least go back to where you started and before you adjust look into the end with a flash light and make sure it is adjusatble, some are not.
