Question Dis-assemble Sunvisor

I bought a set of Homelink sunvisors off of ebay for my 04 F-150 Screw. The fabric on them is not in as good of shape as the fabric on my original sunvisors... It looks like you can pry the sunvisors apart and remove the fabric. Then I could throw away the fabric that is on the homelink visors and replace it with the fabric off of my original sunvisors. The only problem is I cannot get my visors to come apart. Has anyone done this? Any advise would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

good news, I have 8 years of design experience in these visors. WE make them at Johnson Controls )

they cannot be separated without breaking them. the halves are literally melted together. the good news is that you can pull the fabric out and retuck the other fabric. the fabric is held in the edges with what we call shark's teeth on teh inside. tucking with a small puddy knife or ideally a rounded puddy knife will do it. The bezel around the homelink will pop off, and the vanity can be removed with a small screw driver, popping from the bottom. be careful not to break the mirror though.
good luck
