Engine will not rev
I have a 2001 Ranger 3.0. When I try to rev it up it revs fine the first time If I try to rev it the second time immediatley it rev's to approximately 3K RPM and cut out like it has hit the rev limit. If I restart it, it rev's fine the first time then cuts out at 3000. Truck runs good and seems to have full power. My MPG has dropped around 3-4 MPG. Any ideas?

In our trucks Ford put a 2 stage rev limiter, meaning that there are two rev limiters each with its limits. In park or neutral they will only rev to 3K rpm but I believe the rev limiter in RD21 is around 5700 rpm. hope this helps, there is nothing wrong with your truck
