I bought a used 2001 Sport Trac with out the owners manual. Can anyone tell me if the door code is located any where on the truck? I was told by the used car dealer it was under the dash but I haven't been able to locate it. Thanks for any help, Pamm
Did you check the "Keyless Entry Codes" sticky located here https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/s...d.php?t=179696 at the top of this forum? I'm not sure what year they changed over, but I'm pretty sure they've not been under the dash. Older ones were in the left rear quarter panel area. Can't remember the newer ones location (or if it exists). You can get it pulled via the computer by the dealer on the newer ones.
I bought a used 2000 Limited Explorer and I found the code on the module mounted on the left rear wheel well like explained in the link above. I had to pull off some of the side panels and used a flashlight and a dental mirror to see it. Also the sticker it was printed on was upside down so that made it interesting.
That is where the code is on the Explorers. It's not in that location on the Sport Tracs. I had a 2000 Sport and I found the code by the back wheel thing. It's somewhere in the glove box on the SportTrac. Let me know where you find it, if you find it.

Good Luck
If you are having a problem reading upside down, find a friend who works in technical sales. If he/she makes sales calld to customer's offices, they'll be able to read upside down with no problem.
My dealer tells me the new (2004 and above) Door Code is located only in the Computer Module & must be hooked up to the computer to tell you.
My dealer charged me 27.50 for the code.
