Starter Troubles
I went to get one of my parts trucks(84 F150 LWB 300 Auto), and, I discovered that it had a dead starter, so I went home, pulled the starter off of mine(82 F100 Swb 300 4 speed), and planned on installing it on the other truck, but, the starter on my truck was quite a bit larger(which makes completly no sense), so I got cold and wet for nothing. Anyone know how many different starters between 1980 and when they switched to solenoid engagement? I think there are 2 and 3 bolt patterns, but, I am not sure.

Starter Troubles
I think there's a difference between starters in trucks with manual and auto trannies, i know when i bought one a while ago they asked what tranny I had, after which year and which engine, so it must be different for each transmission. my 85 351 auto used a two-bolt pattern.
