Talking Engine Pics

Finally have my 1980 flaireside running and driving after swapping out my 300 for a 460 and C6 from a 76 Grand Marquis. I added some engine and progress pics, but there is still alot of body work to go. I am quite happy, after 3 years of spare time tinkering I was finally able to take it out of the shop and do some doughnuts in the yard.

Looks good. Does your truck have the swiss cheese frame? If so are you going to fill the holes? Just wondering because your 460 looks powerful. Does it flex the frame at all?

Lookin good , the light weight of the flareside sure makes them easy to go fast .

Yes is does have the swiss cheese frame, except for the C-section. Right now it is just a one wheel wonder (No posie), So it's nothing but spinning and or wheel hop. Further on in my project when I get tires and locking dif I will probably box the frame and add ladder bars.

I have a pretty strong 460 in my 80 1/2 ton 4x4, and it's got a swiss cheese frame.. but I've never had any trouble with it.. and believe me... I havn't been nice to it.
