F150 sleeper conversion
F150 sleeper conversion
Hi all. Anyone out there installed a sleeper on their F 150? I have '96 4x4 w/a 300 that I plan to run till it falls apart (I figure 250,000 miles or more). I love the truck, but the problem is that I have 2 kids w/one more 'on order' and this is only a single cab truck. I've looked at www.mckinleyconversions.com and www.cowtownsleepers.com and like both products. I wonder if any of you have done something like this to your truck and if so, could you give me your opinion of it? I really have no desire to trade this truck. Thanks.
I've never really looked at one of those, so I don't know if they even have seats/seatbelts/etc as far as safety for the kids...
But if it was me... The kids safety would take priority over everything else.... no matter how much I loved my truck.
I'm sure you feel the same.

Yes, they have seatbelts. I wouldn't just throw my kids in the bed and slam the tailgate. In fact, some have bench seats and others have 2 seats that face each other, like some jump seats in small trucks w/extended cab. The ones I've seen also have the safety brake light on the top.
