Centrifugal Advance
Have any of you guys had any experience with modifying the centrifugal advance curve on a Duraspark Dist? It is non-computer contolled.
I ordered it remanufactured and it works great except the cent. advance comes in way too early, it's all in by about 1700 rpm so that combined with the vacuum advance I'm getting some pinging.
I feel if I could get it delayed to about 2500 to 3000 I would get rid of the pinging. I have already blocked off all but 12 degrees of the vacuum advance. I am running 10 degrees initial.
Chebbies are easy to alter the cent. adv. on but I need some guidance on this one.
