I still use my Pentax K1000 when I want to be creative. The Canon digital has taken over for Vacations, family gatherings, etc. My grandfather gave me a 1930's German roll film camera, the kind with leather bellows, but I dont use it anymore. I suppose 120 B&W film is still made. I also had a darkroom in the spare bathroom back in the 1960's.
I used to have an old Nikon F Photomic T SLR that I sold and wish I would have kept.
Also had a Mamiya.
I remember my first Olympus OM-1. I think they were the first to make a small framed camera. Sold that one too and bought an OM-2N; which I still have
I always wanted a Hasselblad 500, but just couldn't afford it back then or now.
The excitement of watching that print emerge in the wash tray was a reward in itself. Yes you can do more on a keyboard, but it's not the same.
I somewhat collect old cameras, which are not worth much, but like to display them just for conversation sakes; just like that Beseler 23C enlarger I have as an ornament.
Well, the phrase "Old Time Photography" is making me feel like an "old timer", now! I thought this thread was going to be about daguerreotypes, or something. I guess I'm turning into a fossil!
Like Crash687, I shoot film, and scan it into my computer for post-processing. I develop my own (b&w) film, but no longer have an enlarger. I make prints with an ink jet printer. Digital printing has come a long way. I'm amazed at the quality of print I can get with Epson printers. I may get one of the new ones that use the K3 inkset.

Absolutely. Medium format is alive, and well. Equipment prices have dropped a lot though. Those of you who "always wanted a Hasselblad" should check out used medium format prices now. KEH.COM has good prices, a great reputation, and a return policy. A friend of mine wants to sell his 'Blad and lenses for $2k. He paid about $15k new! You might be able to pick up an outfit for as little as $500. I bought a Rolleicord for $75. If you don't feel a need to have "high tech", you can make wonderful photographs without having to spend thousands.
Sierraben, is the 23c in working condition? Are you going to try it out?

Mike Roma, The beseler 23C Series II, I believe is in working order. The only problem is that it's missing the lens board and lens. Everything else seems to be working. And the price was right. FREE. Right now it's a conversation piece. I can't believe the bulb cost $30-$40. Wow. Lucky it still works. Overall, the enlarger is in great shape. I got lucky on this one. I'm not sure if I'm going to actually use it in a darkroom environment. Hard to say. Maybe? LOL.
