New work causing RPM's to go up?
I just had the clutch, pressure plate, throw out bearing and other parts replaced
in my 1987 F150. When I picked it up and drove it home my RPM'S were increasing on their own and the acceleration was increasing on it's own when in nuetral or in between shifting gears. I mean rpm's were going up to 3500 while in nuetral. Once I would put it in gear they would come back down.
Can there be a connection between the work done on the manual transmission and this new development?
