my truck cap, the rear opening on it is busted. the struts, on the left side there is no more mount for it, it snaped off years ago, allowing only one strut to hold it.. and as you know one dinky lil strut isnt gonna hold up 40lbs worth of glass...
so im wondering if anyone has any suggestions for a replacment to the struts for holding open the rear window.
as of right now a 4 foot high brush is used to hold it open, but that only works if the tailgate is open as well and for loading groceries or other small cargo that doesnt require the tailgate to be open makes holding open the window and unloading groceries rather tedious.

I had a problem with one of my struts also. I took it back to the place I bought it even though it was out of warranty. They were able to attach a new strut, I think they just pop rivet onto the cap. I can't remember for sure, but I don't think they even charged me for it.
