battery not being charged.

I have an '82 f-150 with a 351W. Recently my battery is not being charged, and it's not wanting to stay running. When i get it running it will run for a few minutes before progressively losing power to the battery and then it just dies. Even though the engine is running, the battery loses power. I took the alternator to get tested and they said it was fine.

Is it possible that when the alternator gets warmed up it quits working?

Got any suggestions?

You should've taken the regulator with you when you had the alternator checked. It would've been good to bring the battery also to have checked.Allthough not common, a defective battery will cause an alternator to not even begin charging. This is usaully accompanied by a lit up battery light on the dash.
