TFI question

Where is there a good site explaining anything about the ignition system for a 1986 302?

About all there is to say about them is, they either work great, or you buy a new one for about $75. Auto Zone and others can test the module for free.

Try fordfuelinjection.com. The site helped me out a ton when putting a '92 5.0 in my '53.

I still can't get it to run, but we won't go there.

Here my problem: I have a 55 effie with the volare suspension. I have a 302 out of a 1986 country squire complete with the fake wood sides. It was fuel injected to begin with but I have a brand new Holley and Edelbrock intake that I cannot resist to use. I just a EZ wiring kit from the Nationals and I have yet to call them but I bet there is somehere that has done this before. I am having trouble fiquring if I need to use the ECM from the car for the timing, there is no vacum advance on this motor. If anyone has dealt with this problem before any help would be great. Sorry for the vague question to begin with.

If you can find an earlier style dizzy that runs off a blue grommet module you'll have an easier time. Lose the ECM and very simple wiring. You might be surprised how cheap a rebuilt late 70s early electronic ignition dizzy is.
