hello all...this is a awesome sorce for information...but ive been thinking about swaping in a 460 in my truck..(no replacment for displacement right!!!)..and im probably going to do it....get a donar truck with a 460 in it and rob everyhting off of it...and was thinking about a few things...first off....how does this sound?..
edelbrock heads and rpm intake like 9.5-1 compression ratio with a solid comp cam..the 270 solid cam.....roller rockers.......3:89 rear with a detroit locker......and a 2500 stall converter.........??? can someone dyno this set up.....also with a 650......750 carb?..... my other question is...everyone says that if you use a c6 transmission from a car that the shift arm ..points in the wrong dirrection....well...what if you are useing a b&m floor shifter with a cable instead of the normal linkage?.......will that change anyhthing?......just a few things ive been wondering...with that engine and stuff...a motor plate how will my truck run?.....like in the 1/4?. ..any ideas?......it is going to be a daily driver......also how much power and torque will it have?....i was thinking about the 282 cam....it is also solid.......but everyone says that too much cam is not a good thing............thankyou for all of your help...
I'd use the ford svo aluminum CJ heads,go with about a .510-.520 lift cam.Stealth intake,holley 750,stay down on the stall for a driver,maybe an 1800-2000.Oughta be able to give some gt & f-body guys fits.
