Would a fish that big taste any different then a normal size one.....I know this is probably a weird question....but I do not eat and will not eat fish...so from my view it is not too weird.
the meat would taste virtually the same. the only difference would possibly be how tough it is. mmm. I love catfish. that's the best thing ever. I thought I did good with my 8 pounder outa the pond!
A guy at work who isn't a fisherman heard it on the radio, and came in saying someone caught a 100 pound Bluegill. We gave him such a hard time for that, pretty funny, he swore they said Bluegill.
Ha! 2lb blue gills put up a heck of a fight, i cant imagine a 100 lb one! he was prolly useing some braided line, i use 80lb braided line for Musky fishing at Cave Run lake in Kentucky. I'd imagine you could catch a cat that size with 80-100 lb test if you wear him out by loosening the drag and letting him swim around frantically for a while.
