Third brake light.

I would like to know if anyone has added a third brake light to their truck? Is there one that will go in with the cargo ligh(So I can have both the cargo and brake light?)

Third brake light.

The later model F-series trucks had a 3rd brake light stock. Unfortunately I think that Ford made the entire assymble a different size in those years. The cab is still the same though and if you wanted to buy a lighting assymbly from Ford I suspect that it would work. Drilling may be required... As for the wiring--there should be a wire in the harness under the driver side that powers the brake lights and/or one that powers trailer brake lights that you can tap into. Remember to seal your connection so that it won't be a liability in the future. If you want there is probably a simple way to wire the 3rd light directly from the stoplight switch on the brake pedal but I can't tell you right off how to do it. I think you would use it as you hot connect. Get a Chiltons and check out the diagram for chassi wiring before you get too into the project.
