Im looking into buying a 78' with front disc power brakes to put under my 67' with no power and front drums. Are the front ends interchangable? and would i still have the same wheel spacing with the disc brake as i do with my drums, becauce im running aftermartket wheels and it would make a difference, thanks
Wheel hoppin 67.I just completed a 77 swap to my 67.Both 2 wheel drive trucks. You will have to swap out the I beams. The drum spindles are bolted up with 4 bolts .The disc spindles in thethe 77 are attatched directly to the king pins.King pins are a little bigger in the 77,so you wont be able to change at the king pins.Swap the I beams, change the proportioning valve, vacum canister and master cylinder.New banjo hoses ,rotars and calipers and your in business.Having the whole parts truck is the way to go. moparnut
