Updates...

Well i made it to the mud races this weekend. The motor mounts were still tied down but i had the rad fixed, steering fixed and the new headers on so i was feeling pretty good (except for the trashed sheetmetal). Well long story short i was checking to make sure my frontend was engaged before i ran and revved to about 3,000 and dropped the clutch, well i guess I had a little too much traction on the dry ground and took out the spiders in the front diff (still d44) before i even i had a chance to run. So I said the hell with it and ran it in 2wd. Well i made it about 30 feet from the finish line (not very deep mud) and beat about 75% of the people in the lower classes distances (dont have a chance in my class though) Also did something to the steering again. Cant turn to the left but easily to the right? So the last two days i have been working on taking my d60 out of the 79 and putting it into the 70. I ordered my software so that i can download my digital pics on to the computer (i know i'm kinda slow at this computer crap) and should be able to post pics of the roll and mucho other stuff. Laters.

Well i am welded in the rear but until i get some full hydro steering i dont think i'll be welding the front, i guess i'll have to deal with open diff in the front for now. I'd say about 80% of the rigs that get into these races/bogs have open diffs all the way around anyway and are generally alot smaller than me. My rig is not really built for the types of races that they have around here. I built mine to be a bogger and these tracks are more like a tough truck/ mud bog type deal around here. Circle tracks and figure 8 tracks are the norm.
