'84 Auto Tranny ID
I am swapping the engine(300 I-6) and transmission from a 84 F150 into my 82 F100, I need to identify the transmission, it is a 3 speed auto with the model number PGD-2/6(not sure what the / is, can't make it out, just looks like a slash.) Also, can anyone explain why it doesn't have a kickdown rod?
It seems that I'm going to need one, the truck I'm putting the engine has a 3.00:1 geared rear end, and while it would be good on fuel, it seems to me that it would be too low a rpm to pull off a pass without bogging the engine.
