We would like to get a meeting together or at least a "get-to-gether". Our chapter leader is sick and we are looking for someone to fill in for him as assist-leader. Our first meeting attendances were low, we elected a photographer (Ssgt. Hank just relocated to Texas), and myself as Sec.. Kenny was confirmed as Leader at our second meeting. We should have a meeting before the National Event to designate a delegate for our chapter. Frederic has invited chapter members to a gathering at his home in the future. As for being quite in here, it picks up. Most of us are in other forums and check in often.

Sig done and posted a couple of pics.
I was thinking of going all the way, tuner, exhaust and intake. But I keep reading horror stories of blown head gaskets, rearends, turbos and some poor guy melting 2 pistons and voiding the warrenty. So I don't know what to do now! As you know the truck is not a cheap purchase and I can't afford to upgrade the truck and then find I have voided the warrenty.
Cheers,
BB

Welcome to the SJ Chapter BB. Im right over the bridge from you in Northfield (used to be Galloway), altho this coming friday I depart for Fort Bliss Texas for 3 years. I will be checking in the NJ forums tho I will be returning to NJ from time to time onm leave and would prob schedule some to take place during meets when possible. Our first two meets were pretty good altho only a select handful showed up, third one was only two of us showing up. Hopefully it will pick up in the future as it looks like we are getting more members trickling in.

Hank, can you make it to the National Event the end of July. We'll set you up a little booth so it will count as work. LOL

Hey another Neil.... welcome
Are you originally from England?
My sister and her family are on Campden Hill Court in London.
That F-250 XLT crew cab is not exactly common in Europe.
Nice touch on going with the diesel.

Yes, originally from the Isle of Wight, left when I was 18 to see the world. Love the truck, runs great. Couldn't afford to run it in England, I was there in Jan. and gas was almost $8 a gallon.

Whats your sister doing in England?

Cheers,
BB

well my sister moved her family there following her husband

he works for Ernst & Young in London
took a post transfer in September 2003
had been in England with sis from 1997-2000 and their son was born in Seven Oaks
they came back to the states for 4 years and he made it through 9/11 while working at the World Financial Center
he made it through the Wednesday London bombings also - guy likes to go to work early thank goodness
anyway they live on Campden Hill by the Kennsington Park - very posh
I try to visit at least once a year and sis comes over here about the same
have to say - bring plenty of money when you visit London - make NYC prices seem cheep by comparision....

Welcome to the forums. Hope you weren't on the beach with fireworks this past weekend. But if you were, did you get any egg in the cops' face? I know fireworks are illegal in jersey, but you see them everywhere. At least the shoobies were trying to be safe by setting them off on the beach, till the police arrived. I'm surprised they didn't send in a swat team and a tank! If you've been in Jersey for any time, you probably know our state motto "New Jersey and you, suffer together". On a lighter note, have you discovered our "Jersey Pines" ? Chatsworth is an excellent place for 4x4's, and if you bring a kayak or canoe, you can hit Lake Oswego. You'll find lots of rednecks out there, but a lot of nice people too. I'll be out there this summer, along with hitting Ventnor beach (up the street from you). And oh yes, for a chunk of change, you can run your 4x4 on the Brigantine beach.
