Hello everyone, I was looking through Cliffords website and notice their "blueprinted" cylinder head. I searched this forum for some info, but didn't come up with any.
So, has anyone ever used this head or heard good reports about it. They price it at $995. Would a good machine shop be able to do like wise for about the same money. I have read that some of their products aren't very good and are over priced.
The cylinder head seems to be the biggest problem with getting our inlines to make some serious power, and until the aftermarket responds........
Thanks guys.
I don't know about the clifford, but the local machinist claims that aftermarket heads are overrated, unless you are racing. He says a good valve job, and a port and polish is all the average person needs. Gasket matching will help, and it sure won't cost a grand.
yeah, I'd just get the small block chevy valves, a truck cam, and a port and polish. Maybe some rockers. That would be plenty. The cam is only 100 bucks and the valves are like 10 bucks each from summit.

I dont know, 60% bolt on performance, thats really temping, between that, a offy intake, bored 30 over, total seal rings, nice 270 or 280 duration cam, a 4 bbl carb, and a nice set of headers, your looking at 300 HP. I just might jump on a head if its for the 300, and when i dont get my 60%, then ill be calling my lawyer haha.
